In law, the prosecution of a person for an offense for which he or she already has been prosecuted. In U.S.
" (Margin Notes, November November: see month. ) makes some great points, none more poignant than the one of "visit the prisoner."

While it is highly unlikely that many people will ever do this, one thing they could do is "write the prisoner."

As a criminal psychology graduate student who has corresponded with nearly 100 inmates over the years, I can tell you your letters will mean so much to these men and women.

As a Catholic I was taught never to abandon my fellow man or woman in their darkest hour. And from the stories I have heard, their darkest hours are more like endless years. If everyone took it upon themselves to write just one inmate INMATE. One who dwells in a part of another's house, the latter dwelling, at the same time, in the said house. Kitch. 45, b; Com. Dig. Justices of the Peace, B 85; 1 B. & Cr. 578; 8 E. C. L. R. 153; 2 Dowl. & Ry. 743; 8 B. & Cr. 71; 15 E. C. L. R. 154; 2 Man. & Ry. 227; 9 B. & Cr. , we would give hope to many of them and possibly save a few from furthering their lives of crime, or at least make their fives bearable bear·a·ble

That can be endured: bearable pain; a bearable schedule.

There are many Web sites with prisoner's addresses. Take the chance to give of yourself in a way few do.
