Wheels in motion: Ian Hardman take rims to the next level.


Ian Hardman Ian Hardman is an English rugby league player who plays for St Helens. He is a winger, but can also cover the full-back position.

Davin Wheels continues to develop innovative products such as custom wheels for the Hummer H2, and will finish 2003 with revenues around $7 million. Hardman, who has two business partners, says if you're interested in entering the automotive business think carefully about whether you want to do detailing, accessories, or full-fledged manufacturing. Somewhere did Hardman learn the most valuable lessons as a growing entrepreneur? Right in his own backyard--sort of. "Make the world your classroom," he says,recommending activities such as volunteering at local businesses, attending your church's trustee board meetings, and taking business classes, Here are some additional tips from Hardman on how to successfully develop any business:
