What In the World Is Graphic Design? See .org.

(networking) org - The top-level domain for organisations or individuals that don't fit any other top-level domain (national, com, edu, or gov). Though many have .org domains, it was never intended to be limited to non-profit organisations.

This site, sponsored by the American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Institute of Graphic Arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving.  (AIGA), is intended primarily for high school students interested in pursuing a career in graphic design. It consists of three major sections that cover everything from the role of graphic design in contemporary society, selecting a school that offers graphic design training, salary issues, and where to find work as a graphic designer nowadays. If you teach about graphic design in your classroom, this site will provide a good introduction to the field.
