Holidays to Zante can be exciting when you visit the busiest part of town by the harbor. The road Strada Marina is the place to go for some incredible views of the harbor and see some of the ferries coming and going. The cruise ships are always coming and going during the summer months. It is fun to sit and enjoy a beverage and watch the action on the water. The marina area is always bustling with people looking for something to buy or just sitting around enjoying the water and the warm breeze off the harbor. You always want to make time for a visit to the harbor area.

While you are down by the harbor, you should stop at the St Dennis church. The view from the outside is impressive, but when you se the inside, it will take your breath away. The museums are also located in this area and offer exhibits for just about everything. There is the Museum of Zakynthos, Solomos Museum and the Museum of Byzantine Art. The harbor area along will keep you busy for days because there is so much to do. You will even see pictures of Zante before the earthquakes and fire in 1953. This will allow you to see how they rebuilt the area with the original Byzantine and Venetian styles.

The shopping in Zante is amazing. You will see name brand designer clothes, shoes and jewelry as well as health and beauty aids, gifts and electrical items. The locals do like to take vacation during the winter, but there are still many shops open during the winter months. The summers are always offering shopping and entertainment of some kind. The places you stay are beautifully decorated and the caf?s and restaurants are always offering fine cuisine.

Two places to see some beautiful views of the area are Strani Hill and Bochali. From Strani Hill, you can see views of Alykanas, Alykes and Tsilivi resorts. It is a beautiful picture. It is said that the peacefulness of the area was what inspired the great poet to compose the National Anthem for Greece. Once you see the area and experience the beauty, you will know why. The highest point in Zante is Bochali. You will see the harbor view as well as the view of the southern part of the island. The square is also home of the Church of the Virgin Mary.

Your cheap holidays to Zante will include many different sites, but you must see the arts and experience the culture. The dancing and music is amazing as well as the crafts that are made by the locals. The history of Zante and the other areas is amazing to hear about and see. You can look at pictures of Zante, but until you see it in person, you will never truly know the beauty of the area. It is quite a unique experience and you will have so much fun exploring Zante and seeing why everyone enjoys their vacations in a beautiful location.
