What's changed at hospital? VIEWPOINTS.

THE Echo report regarding the elderly woman waiting 21 hours for a bed at Llandough ''This article or section is being rewritten at

Llandough (Welsh: Llandocau fawr - Llan Church + Tochdwy Saint Tochdwy) is a village in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.
Hospital ("No bed for a dying woman", November November: see month.  5) brings back vivid memories of the same thing happening to my mother about four years ago (she was about 83).

She waited 21 hours for a bed, sitting in a chair, but was not well enough to take home and bring back the next day.

My local MP complained to the hospital and we were assured that lessons had been learnt and improvements would be made.

It appears from this and previous articles in the Echo that a lot of issues still need to be addressed. It was obvious to me that the staff were very dedicated, doing their job under a very difficult situation. It seems that the situation hasn't changed much over the last few years.

Jean Bevan Howell Road, Ely, Cardiff Ely (Welsh Trelai tref town + Elai River Ely) is a suburb primarily dominated by council housing in western Cardiff, Wales. History
The Ordnance Survey Map about 1881 shows just how isolated Ely village was from the rest of Cardiff.
