Westminster's model homes collect two LIBI awards.


Westminster Communities, a diversified homebuilder in the Northeast with more than 50 years of experience in residential construction, was honored recently by the Long Island Builders Institute for two of its model homes in The Highlands communities on Long Island's North Shore.

The Dawson model at The Highlands at Aquebogue merited the coveted cov·et

 LIBI LIBI Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument (US National Park Service)  Award in the $550,000 to $750,000 home category. The Kirkwood model at The Highlands at Reeves received recognition as 2005 LIBI Award finalist in the same category.

The Dawson model at The Highlands at Aquebogue, chosen by the panel of independent judges for the 2005 LIBI Award, is a 3,048 s/f, two-story home that offers a choice of three or four bedrooms and two or three baths. The award-winning homes at The Highlands were designed by the architectural firm of Axelrod & Cherveny, with interiors designed by Builders Design.

Preconstruction sales for the two communities began in the spring of 2005 and reaction has been enthusiastic, with the first closings anticipated by December 2005. Allan Schneider Associates, one of the premier real estate agencies on the eastern end of Long Island, is the exclusive broker for The Highlands.
