Westinghouse building is a downtown over-achiever.

JEMB Realty announced thas signed over 55,000 s/f of space at its downtown headquarters 150 Broadway, The Westinghouse Building, over the past year.

Joseph Jerome, principal of JEMB Realty, made the announcement.

Of the 55,000 s/f leased, 18,000 s/f went to 10 new office tenants, including Slade Architecture, Tribeca Technology, the law firms of Rubert & Gross, Lee & Cheung and Pettus & Williams and the financial firms Sapphire Investor Relations, Inc. and Gluon Fund.

Two new retail leases with Modell's and Sephora absorbed all 20,000 s/f of the building's retail and the remaining 17,100 s/f were office renewals to nine long term tenants including the legal firms Sobol Ross & Fleigel, The Feld Law Firm and Leftkowitz & Gottfried, and the accounting firms of McGrath Doyle & Phair and Mathews Panariello.

"The tremendous leasing activity at 150 Broadway in 2005 pushed building occupancy to just over 98%, significantly above downtown occupancy averages," stated Joseph Jerome.

The Westinghouse Building, 150 Broadway, is a 23-story, 250,000 square foot office and commercial property situated in the heart of the Financial District on the corner of Broadway and Liberty Streets, just steps away from City Hall.

Dan Mishael, senior leasing and property manager of JEMB Realty, represented the owner manager in the office and retail leasing transactions. The brokerage houses of Cushman & Wakefield, Manhattan Commercial Realty Corp, Signature Partners, The Lawrence Group, Midtown Commercial Realty Corp and Collegiate Church Group also contributed to the success of the lease up of office space at The Westinghouse Building. Ripco Real Estate and Madison HGCD were active in the retail leasing.
