Western National Group updates logo, adds tagline.


Property/casualty insurer An individual or company who, through a contractual agreement, undertakes to compensate specified losses, liability, or damages incurred by another individual.

"We decided to take this opportunity to think about our 'brand'--that is, what do we really stand for, and what is important to us? It all came back to one single 'question--'why does anyone do business with Western?' The unanimous answer of our employees, and our agents, was 'because of our relationships,'" Stuart Henderson, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

The branding change was created by the Risdall Advertising Agency, New Brighton New Brighton, village (1990 pop. 22,207), Ramsey co., SE Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis–Saint Paul; inc. 1891. Its manufactures include metal products, machinery, and leather. A theological seminary is there. , Minn.

Western National consists of two regional companies--Western National Mutual and Western National Assurance, covering six states in the Midwest and West. The company distributes its products through independent agents.
