) is pleased to announce the appointment of M. LeRoy Patterson of NorthWestern Energy, as director of operations and training, filling the vacancy created with the retirement of Joseph William (Bill) Comish. It is anticipated that Patterson will assume his new duties beginning Feb. 11, 2004.

Patterson brings to WECC impressive credentials and years of experience in the electric power industry. He is currently serving as director of transmission operations and planning for NorthWestern Energy, and has more than 18 years of experience in the electric power industry. The members, representing all segments of the electric industry, provide electricity to 71 million people in 14 Western states, two Canadian provinces, and portions of one Mexican state.
