At first glance Westchester: The American Suburb might seem a narrow focus on one small American community with interest limited to New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of

The Yonkers Museum, founded in 1919 at City Hall, became the Hudson River Museum in 1948. .
