) held in Portland, Oregon from May 10 - 15, 2004.

ISEF is the world's largest pre-college science fair, bringing together more than 1,400 of the most curious and capable young science pioneers from more than 40 countries to share ideas, showcase cutting-edge science and compete for more than $2 million in awards and scholarships.

Categories include: behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry biochemistry, science concerned chiefly with the chemistry of biological processes; it attempts to utilize the tools and concepts of chemistry, particularly organic and physical chemistry, for elucidation of the living system. , botany botany, science devoted to the study of plants. Botany, microbiology, and zoology together compose the science of biology. Humanity's earliest concern with plants was with their practical uses, i.e., for fuel, clothing, shelter, and, particularly, food and drugs. , chemistry, computer science, earth and space sciences, engineering, environmental science, gerontology gerontology: see geriatrics. , mathematics, medicine and health, microbiology microbiology: see biology.

These Westchester ISEF winners earned the right to compete by winning top prizes at the Progenics Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF WESEF Westchester Science and Engineering Fair ), which was held in March at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY.

Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc.and Pace University, sponsored WESEF with support from FUJI Inc., Ciba Specialty Chemicals “Ciba” redirects here. For the pre-1971 company, see Novartis.
