Bill Lamberton, WestJet's Vice President of Marketing and Sales, said today "We are impressed with the Thunder Bay Airport's decision to eliminate its Airport Improvement Fee. The Thunder Bay Airport has been truly innovative, and we hope their leadership will be followed. WestJet started service to Thunder Bay in March 1999, and currently offers 28 departures per week from the airport. From Thunder Bay, WestJet offers non-stop service to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton and Ottawa.
