West meets East.


Pina Bausch's dancers have shared the stage with everything from bathtubs to barn animals. They have built sand castles, spit in each others' faces, and climbed man-made mountains. In Nerds (Turkish for "breath"), Bausch channels impressions of Istanbul, a place where opposites converge--ancient meets modern, East meets West--and political upheaval abounds. Wrapped in Bausch's mischievous mis·chie·vous
