West Georgia National Bank Promotes Eight Officers.

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Rocky Lipham, President and Chief Executive Officer of West Georgia National Bank, a subsidiary of WGNB Corp., announced the promotion of eight officers.

Charity Aaron received a promotion to Assistant Vice President. Aaron has served as Marketing Manager at the Maple Street Office since 2003. She is a graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Business Management. In addition to her role with WGNB, she serves the community in a variety of ways as Chairwoman of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, Publicity Chairwoman for the Carrollton Junior Woman's Club, and as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield Plantation. Aaron is also on the board for OMA Foundation.

James Fulford was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Fulford is a Commercial Construction Loan Officer at the Market Square Office in Douglasville. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of West Georgia. Fulford also completed the Community Bankers Association (CBA) Consumer Lending School in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the Georgia Bankers Association Banking School. He is a participant in the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Douglas Program and is President-elect of the Carrollton Evening Sertoma Club.

Lynn Shadrix, who serves as Retail Banking Manager at the Maple Street Office, is now Assistant Vice President. Shadrix has been with WGNB for more than 20 years. She is a member of the Carrollton Civitan Club.

Amy Wood received a promotion to Assistant Vice President at the E. H. Hearn, Jr. Operations Center. Wood has been with WGNB for nine years. She attended Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City, Alabama, Southern Union Junior College in Auburn, Alabama and received a General Banking Diploma from the American Institute of Banking. Wood currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Jack Henry Associates Gulf States Users Group and is in her second term as President and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the Carrollton Civitan Club.

Toby Cole has been named Banking Officer. Cole has been with WGNB for more than 5 years and most recently served as Assistant Banking Officer, Network Administrator at the E. H. Hearn, Jr. Operations Center. He has 10 years of banking experience and completed his Network Administrator Certification in 2004.

Sherri Hines was promoted to Banking Officer. Hines began her career with WGNB in 1989 and has served as Retail Branch Manager at the Market Square Office in Douglasville since spring 2006. She completed Community Bankers Association Consumer Lending School in 2005. Hines is a member of the Villa Rica Athletic Booster Club and is involved with the Villa Rica Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO).

Andrea Purcell was named Credit Officer at the Maple Street Office. Purcell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Kennesaw State University and has more than twenty years of experience in commercial credit.

Marc Finsterbusch received a promotion to Assistant Banking Officer, Assistant Controller at the E. H. Hearn, Jr. Operations Center. Finsterbusch began his career with WGNB in 2004, while attending the University of West Georgia. In 2005, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Finsterbusch is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, AICPA Student Affiliate and has also served as Treasurer for the University of West Georgia Accounting Club.
