West Central Division. (Division News).

The state presidents met at the 2002 Summit for MTNA Leadership to share ideas on fundraising, convention locations and programming. Because the Summit meeting is now an official division business meeting, in addition to the meeting at the MTNA National Conference in the spring, the state presidents in attendance chose not to meet during the competition weekend in January. The need for a January division meeting will be discussed annually and may be scheduled in the future if needed.

The 2003 division competitions will be held at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, January 11-12, with rehearsals beginning January 10. The schedule for competitions will be completed by mid-December, and reservations for the group rate at the hotels must be made by January 1. (Please see page 82 of the October/November 2002 AMT for hotel information.) Those interested in attending the South Dakota Symphony concert on January 11 should contact Cheryl Koch, NCTM, at [e-mail] for reservations.

Plan now to attend the West Central no-host dinner at the National Conference, Monday, March 17, at Christopher's restaurant, prior to the conference recital. Look for reservation information in next issue's "Division News."
