West Central Division. (MTNA Division News).


The earliest competitions in the West Central Division will be held in several states, all on the weekend of October 26-27. Minnesota competitions will be held at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. Nebraska competitions will be held at the University of Nebraska-Kearney campus, in conjunction with their state conference; Robert Roux and Jane Magrath, NCTM, will be featured guests. Valley City State University in North Dakota is hosting both the state conference and the competitions, and both events in South Dakota are scheduled for Rapid City.

During the first weekend in November, Colorado will hold competitions at Wells Music in Denver While Denver may not be as recognized for historical musical prominence like such cities as Los Angeles, Detroit, or New York City, it still manages to have a very active popular, jazz, and classical music scene, which has nurtured many artists and genres to regional, national, and even , and the Iowa competitions will be at Iowa State University Academics
ISU is best known for its degree programs in science, engineering, and agriculture. ISU is also home of the world's first electronic digital computing device, the Atanasoff–Berry Computer.

Kansas has split its conference and competitions this year for the first time. A conference featuring Arthur Houle and Amir Khosrowpur, 2002 Collegiate Artist Piano Competition Winner, was held at Fort Hays State University Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is a public, co-educational university located in Hays, Kansas. It is the fourth largest of the six state universities governed by the Kansas Board of Regents, with an enrollment of approximately 9,500 students (8,250 undergraduate and 1,250  in September, with competitions set for Wichita State University on November 1 6-17.

The division competitions will be held at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota Sioux Falls (IPA: [su fɑlz]) is the largest city in the U.S. state of South Dakota, and the county seat of Minnehaha County.GR6 The 2007 city population is 148,000. , January 10-12, 2003. All are welcome.
