West Central Division.Being named the State Affiliate of the Year by MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National AssociationMTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) was a major highlight for the Iowa Music Teachers Association. Every state has good reason to take pride in its MTA; it was very gratifying to have that sense of purpose affirmed by the National Association! In September 1855, the student body numbered 124, of which, 41 were women. Collegiate Chapter, last year's Collegiate Chapter of the Year, continues to be very active. Its members presented a session at the Toronto Conference on using improvisation in piano lessons. Iowa would like to acknowledge its students who participated in the national competitions in Toronto. The 2007 Conference of the Nebraska MTA will take place in October at the University of Nebraska at Kearney The University of Nebraska at Kearney (also known informally as UNK), founded in 1905 as the Nebraska State Normal School at Kearney, is the Kearney campus of the University of Nebraska system. .
