The guest artist was Lori Sims, a Colorado native and winner of the First Prize Gold Medal gold medal traditional first prize. [Western Cult: Misc.] See : Prize at the 1998 Gina Bachauer Gina Bachauer, (Greek: Τζίνα Μπαχάουερ), (b. May 21, 1913) (d. August 22, 1976) born in Athens, Greece, was a Greek classical pianist and wife of Alec Sherman, who toured extensively in the United States and International Piano Competition. A highlight of the conference was the PREP (Professional Reading Enrichment Program) seminar, at which attendees discussed their explorations into the characteristics of Western music and art, the world that produced them and how they all fit together. Members of the Iowa MTA (IMTA IMTA Instituto Mexicano de TecnologĂa del Agua (Mexico) IMTA International Map Trade Association iMTA Institute for Medical Technology Assessment IMTA International Modeling and Talent Association IMTA Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture ) met for their state conference at Graceland University in Lamoni June 6-8. Featured artists were Ralph Votopek, the Roo Duo, piano duo team, and Tony Caramia. Faculty members from Graceland University presented sessions and premiered the IMTA/MTNA commissioned composition. The Holiday Inn North in St. Paul was the site of the Minnesota MTA annual conference. Sessions for participants promoted the theme "Forever Learning: The Student Within." Christopher O'Riley was heard in concert, and Brian Chung inspired members with an address at the Gala. Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota are looking forward to fall conferences.
