Wesdome puts new Wawa mine into production.

Wesdome Gold. Mines put its new Mishi Mine near Wawa into production during the company's first quarter.

In a May 14 release, the Toronto miner said Mishi produced 1,382 ounces of gold at a recovered grade of 2.3 grams per tonne from 19,103 tonnes milled.

Mishi is located at the company's Eagle River gold mining complex, west of Wawa.

Exploration at its 811 Zone is showing better gold grades with depth.

Chip samples from 705 metres averaged 15.82 grams per tonne with muck samples at 11:23 grams per tonne. Drilling has traced this zone down to 1,000 metres where one drill hole returned a value of 59.67 grams per tonne over a width of 1.81 metres. The entire zone remains open at depth.

The company expects to develop down to 741 metres this year.
