Welsh & Katz, Ltd. Helps Cooper Bauck Corporation Reach Settlement with Dolby Laboratories Inc.
CHICAGO -- Audio signal processing technology company Cooper Bauck Corporation announced today that it reached a settlement agreement with Dolby Laboratories Inc., Denon Electronics (USA), LLC, and Abt Electronics Inc. over a patent infringement issue. Cooper Bauck filed its lawsuit in December 2005, claiming that Dolby Virtual Speaker (R) infringed two of its patents. A. Sidney Katz, James A. Scheer and Joseph E. Cwik, all principals at Welsh & Katz, Ltd., the Chicago-based intellectual property law firm, represented Cooper Bauck. Details of the settlement agreement were not disclosed.
