The process of issuing insurance policies. plc said it plans to expand into the U.S. specialty business through the proposed acquisition of Axa Corporate Solutions Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Co. The company will be renamed Wellington Specialty Insurance Co., and Wellington hopes to begin underwriting in the fourth quarter.
