S. Department of Defense has extended the delivery dates on boot orders See first boot sequence. under its contracts. The original delivery dates for boot shipments in April through June 2006 have been extended to May through August 2006. Wellco was informed that the Army's current usage of boots is lower than the rate projected when the orders were issued to Wellco. This is only an extension of the shipping date. No orders or contracts have been cancelled. Wellco has adjusted its production rate accordingly.
