Welders upgrade in Thunder Bay.


Thunder thunder, sound produced along a path of a lightning flash, caused by the rapid heating and expansion of the adjacent air. Rolling thunder occurs either as a result of the time difference between sounds from the far and near end of a flash, or when mountains, layers  Bay's Confederation College Confederation College is a provincially funded community college located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1967, and has area campuses in Dryden, ON, Fort Frances, ON, Geraldton, ON, Kenora, ON, Marathon, ON and Sioux Lookout, ON.  has struck an agreement with Canadian Pacific Railway Canadian Pacific Railway, transcontinental transportation system in Canada and extending into the United States, privately owned and operated. The construction of a railroad crossing the continent in Canadian territory was one of the conditions on which British  (CP) to re-train their track welders.

The college will assist the rail carrier in supporting continuous improvement in track standards by offering a refresher workshop.

Track welders are now required to perform assignments to reinforce their skills on a regular basis. CP employees will perform these assignments during the eyes of college faculty using specialized spe·cial·ize
