PERSONALIZING YOUR PASSWORD The League not only has a new, user-friendly Web site, but members now have personalized access to the Members Area. The new site allows members to use their e-mail address See Internet address. e-mail address - electronic mail address and personal password, rather than the previous generic username The name you use to identify yourself when logging into a computer system or online service. Both a username (user ID) and a password are required. In an Internet e-mail address, the username is the left part before the @ sign. For example, KARENB is the username in karenb@mycompany. and password. The first time all members visit the new Web site, they will need to register with the League and set up their account information. It's a simple, three-step process. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] 1. Register at www.lwv.org/PreRegister/ You will be asked for your first name, last name and e-mail address. If the League doesn't already have your e-mail address in our database, you must provide your street address, zip code zip code System of postal-zone codes (zip stands for “zone improvement plan”) introduced in the U.S. in 1963 to improve mail delivery and exploit electronic reading and sorting capabilities. and Member ID in the indicated spaces. Update Your Information and Set Your Password After you register, the system will send you an e-mail containing your initial log-in information and how to access the LWV Online System. Using the information in the e-mail, log in to the LWV Online System.
