Free Solar-powered Electric Charging Stations

LOS GATOS Los Gatos (lôs gä`tōs, lŏs, găt`əs), city (1990 pop. 27,357), Santa Clara co., W Calif.; inc. 1887. It is an affluent residential community and health resort. , Calif. -- Los Gatos becomes Solar City USA this Thursday, the longest day of the year, when Akeena Solar opens its new headquarters and showroom to the public.

Akeena, a leading designer and installer of solar power systems, will unveil solar-powered electric car-charging stations, the equivalent of gas stations dispensing solar energy solar energy, any form of energy radiated by the sun, including light, radio waves, and X rays, although the term usually refers to the visible light of the sun.  instead of gasoline. Drivers of hybrids or electric cars are welcome to fill 'er up. The newest residential and commercial solar systems also will be on display.
