Weidlinger Associates has expanded its transportation group with the addition of Huajing (Alice) Shi as a Traffic Engineer. Ms. Shi will be located in the firm's New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 office.

Ms. Shi joins Weidlinger after completing a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering at Northwestern University Northwestern University, mainly at Evanston, Ill.; coeducational; chartered 1851, opened 1855 by Methodists. In 1873 it absorbed Evanston College for Ladies. . She has considerable experience in transportation operations and planning, including traffic demand modeling and analysis, y-namic traffic assignment, traffic flow theory, traffic simulation, and Intelligent Transportation Systems, and other traffic engineering related studies.

Previously, Ms. Shi was a transportation engineer at The Institute of Highway Research in Beijing, China, where she focused on electrical and mechanical system design for expressway projects, including electronic toll collection Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), an adaptation of military "identification friend or foe" technology, aims to eliminate the delay on toll roads. Ms. Shi was the recipient of the Transportation Center Dissertation Year Fellowship in 2004 at Northwestern University, where she earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in civil and environmental engineering. In addition, she earned a B.S. in electrical engineering electrical engineering: see engineering.
