Weichert broker works double duty to close 44,000 s/f in deals.

David Fisher, senior vice president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., has recently consummated two sales transactions totaling over 44,000 s/f in central New Jersey.

Twelve years ago, Fisher sold Fowler Equipment a building located at 24 Monroe Street in Union. Recently, Fowler outgrew this facility, hiring Fisher to find a new property in the area that would be suitable for the company.

Fisher had also done work with B&M Realty in the past, selling them a 27,000 s/f building located at 565 Rahway Rahway (rô`wā), industrial city (1990 pop. 25,325), Union co., NE N.J., on the Rahway River; settled c.1720 as part of Elizabethtown, inc. 1858. Plastics, clothing, pharmaceuticals, and electrical equipment are among the city's manufactures. The British were routed in skirmishes there in 1777. Avenue in Union. Fisher was aware that the building, which B&M was ready to sell, suited Fowler's needs.

As a result, Fowler entered into a contract on the building and simultaneously asked Fisher to market the Monroe Street building on his behalf.

Fisher called upon Ray Catena, who recently purchased a property in close proximity to 24 Monroe Street. Catena closed on the property and enabled Fowler to complete a 1031 exchange. Catena will utilize the facility for the expansion of his business.
