Business Overview

CytRx Corporation, incorporated in 1985, is a ribonucleic acid (RNA) interference (RNAi) and biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of human therapeutics. The Company is engaged in developing products based on advanced RNAi technology for the human healthcare market. The technology essentially uses RNA to selectively turn off the harmful genes of infectious viruses or malignant tumor cells. CytRx has a broad-based strategic alliance with the University of Massachusetts Medical School UMMS is ranked fourth in primary care education among the nation’s 125 medical schools in the 2006 U.S.News & World Report annual guide, “America’s Best Graduate Schools”. UMMS is also a major center for research.  (UMMS) that has given the Company unparalleled access to RNAi technology and serves as a platform for a myriad of drug discovery applications, including obesity, Type II diabetes Type II diabetes
