" (1 Corinthians 3:123) is the theme for this year's Week of Prayer for Christian Unity The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an international Christian ecumenical observance kept annually between 18 January and 25 January. It is actually an octave, that is, an observance lasting eight days. , which is scheduled for Jan. 18 to 25 (though churches are encouraged to mark the event whenever it is possible).

"The situation in which the theme was developed is marked by new possibilities for church growth," particularly in Slovakia, according to an introduction to the theme prepared by the World Council of Churches (WCC WCC n abbr (= World Council of Churches) → COE m (Conseil œcuménique des Églises)

The eight days of prayer are "an invitation to reflect together as different churches, to ask a blessing for each other and to see where we can grow together in unity," said the WCC.
