Wedding register 2007.

Would you like to see your wedding included in the 2007 Mississippi Magazine Wedding Register? We invite one and all to take part in what has become a Mississippi bridal tradition.

Our Wedding Register is now in color! A few of the guidelines have changed, so please follow these updated instructions. We have provided this page for you to tear out and keep handy for reference. Just follow these instructions, and thousands will see your happy day in print in the January/February 2007 issue of Mississippi Magazine.

1. GATHER YOUR MATERIALS.

A handy checklist is provided here for you to follow. Note that some of the specifications have changed.

2. ADD YOUR PAYMENT, ACCORDING TO OUR DEADLINES.

Submissions will not be accepted after September 30, 2006.

If you'd like to purchase a two-page spread, the cost is $850 before July 31 and $1,050 by September 30.

If your wedding is late enough in the year that you cannot send in your materials by these deadlines, you will need to wait until the following year to join us in the Wedding Register. That's okay; there are many brides that do so!

Materials and payment should be sent together in order to reserve your page. You may pay by check (made out to Mississippi Magazine), money order, or by including your MasterCard or Visa number, along with an expiration date, on a sheet of paper.

3. SEND IT ALL IN!

Don't forget--we will be happy to return your photographs if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

If you desire immediate confirmation that your materials have been received, please ship via a trackable method (U.S.P.S. delivery confirmation or certified mail, FedEx, etc.). We are unable to immediately confirm receipt.

[] A computer file of your write-up

As a "text-only" or Microsoft Word document, on a floppy disk or CD or e-mailed to [e-mail]. In the e-mail subject line, write the bride's maiden name and groom's last name (e.g. Jones-Smith). Please indicate in your packet whether you sent the write-up via e-mail. The word count limit is 450 words. Triple-check all names for correct spelling! Write-ups that are too long will be edited at our discretion. Do not send write-ups in all-caps. See mississippimagazine.com for complete write-up instructions.

[] A printed copy of your write-up

This helps us in the event that there is a problem with the computer document.

[] Two photos (Four if you buy two pages)

Preferably on CD, as CMYK color, 300 dpi, 5x7 images. (Share these specifications with your photographer.) We cannot accept photos by email. Do not send more than 2 photos per page; please specify which one you want to be the larger photo. If digital photos are not available, send prints in a smooth, not textured, finish. Photos should be sharp and clear for best printing. Do not send ink-jet prints or prints made on a "Picture Maker" store kiosk. Label prints with a sticky note on back (do not write on prints). We will strive to produce pleasing color, but please note that we cannot guarantee an exact color match.

[] A cover photo submission (optional)

If you'd like to be considered for our cover, please send a high-quality vertical 8 x 10 color print AND a copy of the photo on CD, if available. You may send as many different cover photos as you wish.

[] A self-addressed, stamped photo mailer or envelope

Prints will only be returned if this is included in your packet. Note: Photo CDs will not be returned.
