WebLayers Announces Passing of CEO Irwin Wallach; Late CEO's Career Spanned More Than 30 Years Leading Development and Operations of Large IT organizations; Interim CEO Named.


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- WebLayers, the leading provider of policy-based governance solutions for strategic IT initiatives, today announced with deep regret the untimely passing of WebLayers' CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Mr. Irwin Wallach. Mr. Wallach passed away on Monday, May 22, 2006 near his home in Long Island, NY.

Irwin served as WebLayers' CEO since August 2005. Prior to taking WebLayers' leadership reins he served as General Manager and VP for Application Delivery in Mercury Interactive For another company with a similar name, see Mercury Computer Systems.
