Web-Based Quoting System Helps Molders Compete.


Job-estimating and quoting software for injection molders, introduced last summer by Mascon of Schaumburg Schaum·burg  

A village of northeast Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Population: 74,900.
, Ill., will soon be available for use on the World Wide Web. Molders will then need only an Internet browser See Web browser.  to use the software. The system runs on the Mascon host computer rather than on the molder's office system. Web access also means the quoting system can be used from anywhere by persons with the appropriate passwords. By paying a monthly subscription fee, molders can minimize upfront software costs and eliminate the need to manage upgrades and maintenance.
