 Enterprise Solutions, of Denver, Cob., has installed a Web portal See portal.  for the U.S. Air Force to use in worldwide delivery of tech orders and other mission-critical, hyperlinked data, announced IHS President Dennis Zehnle.

Tech orders are detailed maintenance and repair procedures for Air Force aircraft. With the new portal, Zehnle said, millions of pages of text, illustrations and data tables will be converted into electronic formats for secure access on the Defense Department's DoD.mil network. The participating air logistics centers include Oklahoma City Oklahoma City (1990 pop. 444,719), state capital, and seat of Oklahoma co., central Okla., on the North Canadian River; inc. 1890. "Air Force tech orders are vitally important documents for maintaining high levels of aircraft readiness," Zehole explained. "Because they are updated frequently, technicians must have the latest version before performing repairs and maintenance.

"Managing hardcopy tech orders is time consuming and costly. The new solution will significantly shorten the process for updating, accessing and distributing these documents, thereby providing maximum support to the warfighter."
