WEB HANDLING CONFERENCE A SUCCESS. The Web Handling Research Center, an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center at Oklahoma State University Oklahoma State University, at Stillwater; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1890, opened 1891 as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1957. , held its Eighth International Conference on Web Handling June 5-8, 2005. The center sponsors the Conference every two years as a means to advance the knowledge base in web handling and to provide engineers and researchers a forum to exchange ideas, present technological advances and discuss future directions This year's conference (IWEB2005) included three keynote speakers and a focus on the web handling topics of Lateral Mechanics and Wrinkling, Air Entrainment Air entrainment is the intentional creation of tiny air bubbles in concrete. The bubbles are introduced into the concrete by the addition to the mix of an air entraining agent, a surfactant (surface-active substance, a type of chemical that includes detergents).  and Traction Traction Definition
