Wayport Acquires ResortWiFi, LLC; Expands Hospitality Portfolio.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Wayport, Inc., an international leader in the design and integration of applications and software over Wi-Fi carrier grade networks, announced today its acquisition of ResortWiFi, LLC.

ResortWiFi is a premier Wi-Fi Internet services provider focusing predominantly on the timeshare (also called interval ownership) industry. ResortWiFi currently serves such upscale timeshare and hotel companies as Fairfield Resorts International (a Wyndham Worldwide Company, being renamed Wyndham Vacation Resorts), Monarch Grand Vacations and other top-tier developments.

Wayport has served the hospitality market since 1997 and today provides services to prestigious hotel brands in 32 countries worldwide. Wayport expects to move quickly to integrate many of the more than 40 service contracts acquired in the transaction into Wayport's existing network, which will complement and broaden Wayport's existing relationships with the interval ownership industry.

Drechsler, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience providing innovative products and services to the interval sales industry, will be a consultant to Wayport. Phalan, the Chief Technology Officer of ResortWiFi, will join Wayport's team as national account sales manager and will provide his industry experience to Wayport's expansion efforts into the resort and timeshare market.
