Wayne Chatterton Joins UtilX as Director of Technology.


SEATTLE -- UtilX(R) Corporation today announced that it has hired Wayne J. Chatterton, Ph.D. as its Director of Technology. Chatterton is joining UtilX to advance its research & development associated with CableCURE(R) silicone injection for power and aircore copper telephone cables.

"Wayne was a founder of the original silicone injection materials and the commercial applications for silicone injection. Since the inception of silicone cable injection within Dow Corning, Wayne has been a key contributor to and an active partner with UtilX in building the technology to the level it is at in the United States and in many other countries today. He brings a deep understanding of the science and technology of our business. His joining our team will enable us to accelerate advances in our silicone injection technology, as well as in our applications and processes," added Van Horn.

Chatterton's career includes 16 years at Dow Corning, a global leader in silicon-based technology and innovation located in Midland, Michigan. Most recently, he was an Organosilicone Chemist with Dow Corning, where he was the Rubber Fabrication fabrication (fab´rikā´shn),
n the construction or making of a restoration.
 Team leader and a lead contributor on the joint Dow Corning/UtilX cable restoration team.

Chatterton holds 4 U.S. & numerous international patents on cable restoration and related technologies. He obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from University of Toronto Research at the University of Toronto has been responsible for the world's first electronic heart pacemaker, artificial larynx, single-lung transplant, nerve transplant, artificial pancreas, chemical laser, G-suit, the first practical electron microscope, the first cloning of T-cells, , an M.S. from University of Toronto in Organosilicone Chemistry, and a Ph.D. from University of Toronto in Organic Chemistry (silicone). Wayne is a 9-year member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Not to be confused with the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE).
