Wawa gold mill begins commissioning.
The Island gold mine has begun commissioning their
650-tonne-per-day mill near Wawa.
Joint venture partners, Richmont Mines Inc. and Patricia Mining
Corp., announced Sept. 7 the start up of their carbon-in-pulp mill. The
facility will initially begin operations at a rate of 500 tonnes per day
to process a surface stockpile stock·pile n. A supply stored for future use, usually carefully accrued and maintained.

Underground definition drilling on their Island Zone is ongoing.
Island Gold is an advanced underground exploration and development
project, 90 kilometres from Wawa.
