Wawa diamond hunters Pele Mountain Resources reports its "most encouraging results" to date at its Festival property.
The Toronto-based exploration company says some of the sampling results from the eight-kilogram portions taken from many of their 132 collected samples have yielded as many as 30 diamonds per kilogram kilogram, abbr. kg, fundamental unit of mass in the metric system, defined as the mass of the International Prototype Kilogram, a platinum-iridium cylinder kept at Sèvres, France, near Paris. , including some of the best diamond-size distributions seen yet on the property.
Field crews are now collecting additional samples.
