Wausau Benefits Selects Protocol Driven Healthcare to Enhance Online Medical Management Offerings.

Wausau Benefits, the country's fifth largest third-party administrator of employee benefit plans, has chosen Protocol Driven Healthcare, Inc. (PDHI PDHI Protocol Driven Healthcare, Inc ) to enhance its Internet-based medical management services.

"Online tools are critical to the success of health and wellness programs and for monitoring chronic health conditions for disease management," explained Alfred P. Moore, president and chief executive officer of Wausau Benefits. "We have a strong and proven approach to medical management that can only be enhanced by adding an effective and comprehensive Internet health management program. We chose PDHI as our application provider because it offers high quality content and tools that are both easy to use and easily integrated into our environment."

Wausau Benefits, based in Wausau, WI, will now offer a Health and Wellness Center. In addition to an interactive health risk assessment for employees of self-insured customers, the center will include seven chronic condition management modules to customers' health plan members participating in Wausau Benefits disease management programs. Wausau Benefits nurses will use the PDHI care enhancement module to monitor, review member data and communicate confidentially with health plan members.
