Wausau, Brown&Brown to cover ALF property, liability.


Wausau Insurance and Brown & Brown-Commercial programs Division have partnered to offer a new program: the Assisted Living Facility Protector Plan.

The plan was created to address the industry's need for property and liability insurance. General liability coverage includes incidental medical malpractice and sexual or physical abuse and molestation. Property coverage includes protection for law or ordinance liabil-ities including demolition cost and increased construction cost, and spoilage. A $500,000 aggregate limit encompasses extensions of coverage to accounts receivable, extra expense, personal effects personal effects n. an expression often found in wills ("I leave my personal effects to my niece, Susannah") personal effects (things) include clothes, cosmetics, and items of adornment. This is not the same as "personalty" which means all tangible property which is not real property, money or investments. (See: personalty) and property of others, valuable papers, and electrical disturbance or mechanical breakdown of electrical data processing equipment.
