Waupaca Honors Praxair with Certified Supplier Award.


Waupaca Foundry (The Budd Co.), Waupaca, Wisconsin Waupaca is a city in Waupaca County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,676 at the 2000 census. The city is believed to be named after Sam Waupaca (or Chief Wapuka) of the Potowatomi tribe. , has honored Praxair, Inc., Danbury, Connecticut “Danbury” redirects here. Danbury is a city in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It has an estimated population as of July 1, 2005 of 78,736.

Praxair supplies more than 200 tons/day of oxygen to the Waupaca foundry from two non-cryogenic oxygen-generating plants. Waupaca uses the oxygen to improve the efficiency of iron melting.

Praxair is the world's leading supplier of industrial gases and application technology used by manufacturers of steel, aluminum, copper and other primary metals, with 1998 sales to this segment of more than $720 million.
