Waters Instruments Establishes Award to Recognize Advancements in Organ Preservation.


MINNEAPOLIS -- Waters Medical Systems Preservation Award Established

Waters Instruments, Inc. (Nasdaq:WTRS WTRS Wittwer Syndrome ) announced today it is establishing an award to recognize those who have increased the understanding and/or advancement of organ preservation. The prize will be a cash award along with a plaque.

The Preservation Award will be presented to an individual or group next year at the International Society for Organ Preservation's (ISOP ISOP International Society of Pharmacovigilance

 Transplant Coordinators annual conference. It will recognize those who have distinguished themselves in the field of organ preservation in basic or clinical scientific research, which has led to improving the outcomes of organ transplant.

"We have been a supporter and sponsor of wetlab/symposiums since their inception in 1994," said David Schollman, Waters Medical Systems general manager. "Establishing this award through the ISOP is another approach to this support and an effort to foster competition in the advancement of organ preservation."

A complete nomination package is available from Waters and the ISOP and should include a letter of nomination, a full curriculum vitae curriculum vitae CV, resume Medical practice A formal listing of a person's professional education, objectives, work history, including location and dates of service at a particular hospital, health care facility, university, the role filled at the time of service,  and list of publications and at least two letters of support for the nomination. Nominations must be forwarded to the ISOP selection committee by April 1, 2005.
