Watermark Software Announces New Pricing and Support Programs; Programs Target Enterprise Imaging Environments.

 programs include a pilot system offering that provides organizations with low-cost entry to client/server imaging; new image server pricing that reflects pricing structures of other standard client/server applications and an expanded technical assistance program designed to meet the complex requirements of enterprise imaging environments.

Included in the new Watermark pricing and support programs are:

Introduction of the Watermark Enterprise Series Pilot Pack, an entry-level, client/server imaging system that includes software licenses In computing, software that is copyrighted and licensed under a software license is done under a variety of licensing schemes. The pilot pack enables organizations to quickly and cost- effectively deploy an initial, complete imaging system. Additional imaging clients and image servers can be easily added to pilot pack systems as user requirements evolve. The Pilot Pack, available August 1, is priced at $7,995 and offers customers a 30 percent cost savings over buying the components separately.

A new pricing structure for Watermark Enterprise Image Server that follows pricing schemes of other popular client/server applications, such as Microsoft Windows See Windows.

Pricing for Enterprise Image Server will require one image server license per server, priced at $4,995, along with a server access license for each client in the imaging system. Server access software licenses are priced at $3,995 for 25 seats, $6,995 for 50 seats and $11,995 for 100 seats. All pricing is effective August 1. Volume pricing is available for large installations.

The new prices maintain Watermark's advantage in delivering price points that make enterprise-wide deployment practical. For example, a 100-user, client/server Watermark Enterprise Series configuration is priced at $38,985, which is $390 per seat.

A new, two-part Assurance Program to meet the growing need for technical assistance among multi-site, enterprise imaging installations.

First, Watermark will offer a Support Assurance Program that provides three levels of technical support: Basic, which is available at no cost for Watermark client software; Priority, which supports single site Watermark imaging systems and is priced at $3,500 for up to 35 hours of technical assistance per year; and Premium, which provides technical assistance for multiple imaging sites across one organization and is priced at $15,000 for up to 100 hours per year.

Second, Watermark will offer an Upgrade Assurance Program that automatically provides customers with version and point releases for software products. The program is offered in annual contracts and priced at 15 percent of the list price of Watermark Enterprise Series components included in the installation. It is available to installations with 25 or more Watermark seats. Both programs are effective August 1.
