Water quality is important for people's lives.

Exchange of experiences and finding new ways, methodologies and technologies for observance, measuring and modeling of all important sectors over the use and maintenance of water quality, as well as environment enhancement is the goal of the 5. International Conference on Water, Climate and Environment, held in Ohrid. "Macedonia has worked on full implementation EU laws and directives, but harmonization will continue", said Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Abdilaqim Ademi.

According to him, reduced water resources, accompanied by increased need for it represent a challenge not only for Macedonia, but for the globe.

"We are trying to make the right decisions in order to use these resources in a rational way. We are planning to establish a regulatory body on waters, which will determine the exact price and regulate the legal aspects among entities that sell and buy water, along with the implementation of numerous infrastructure projects aimed at improving the state of waters in the country", added Minister Ademi.

Coordinator of Water Observation and Information System for Balkan Countries (Balwois) project Marc Morell believes it is not easy to deal with the climate change problem, including lack of water.

"It is very important to maintain the water quality, since it is important for people's lives. Success in this effort does not require only cooperation among competent people in the hydrology hydrology, study of water and its properties, including its distribution and movement in and through the land areas of the earth. The hydrologic cycle consists of the passage of water from the oceans into the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration (or  field, but all related areas. This issue is not simple, it is more than complex", stressed Morell.

The Balwois conference is organized by the Balkan Institute for Water and Environment, Faculty of Civil Engineering within Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Hydrometeorological hy·dro·me·te·or·ol·o·gy
