Smith has served as Waste Management's assistant corporate secretary since April 2000. In her role as corporate secretary, she plans and administers the meetings of the Company's board of directors and its committees. She also administers the Company's various stock option plans, maintains the Company's subsidiary records, manages the preparation of the proxy statement Proxy Statement
