"She was just hanging there, just trying to hold on," Thomas told KOMO Komo Kommodore (German Squadron Commander) News in Seattle.

Realizing that the girl was in danger of falling at any moment, Thomas positioned himself under the window and prepared for the inevitable. He also called to his friend, Gabe, in case he needed help in catching the girl. Gabe also was fearful of what might happen to the girl.

"Yeah, I was really nervous," he told reporters.

Finally, the girl could hold on no longer and let go, plummeting below, where she fell right into Thomas' outstretched out·stretch
