Washington Gets Second Del Taco; Vancouver Del Taco Opens; Sells More Macho Burritos Than Any Other Opening.

Del Taco Del Taco is a chain of North American fast-food restaurants specializing in Mexican-style offerings as well as American foods such as burgers, fries and shakes.

The first Del Taco restaurant was founded in Yermo, California in 1961 by Ed Hackbarth and David Jameson.
 Inc., home of the Macho Burrito, today announced the opening of its second Washington restaurant. In its first few days, the new restaurant located at 8724 NE Highway 99, Vancouver, has served more Macho Burritos than any other Del Taco opening in the past five years.

"Mexican food lovers in Vancouver and Portland are just gobbling up our Macho Burritos," said Ejaz H. Chaudry, Del Taco's franchisee for the area. "We are thrilled with the way consumers are responding to Del Taco's great menu and value."

The restaurant is selling between 240-300 Macho Burritos a day, more than any other new Del Taco. With more than a pound of food, the Macho Burrito is a Del Taco signature product that satisfies a big appetite at a big value.

Starting with a warm 14-inch tortilla, the Macho Burrito features a Combo, Beef or Chick version that include seasoned beef, freshly grilled chicken or slow cooked beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and both red and green sauce Green sauce is the name of several different sauces containing mainly herbs, namely the Italian salsa verde, the French sauce verte, and the German grüne Soße or Frankfurter Grie Soß (Frankfurt dialect). . Macho Burritos start at $2.99.

Each week, Del Taco's more than 415 restaurants use more than 44,000 pounds of tomatoes, nearly 70 tons of lettuce and more than 66 tons of cheddar cheese.
