Warren W. Cole, PKF Texas President, Honored by CanCare Houston.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 2003

Warren W. Cole recently received The J.B. and Blanche Earthman Award from CanCare of Houston for his ongoing support and dedication to the organization's ministry of hope for cancer survivors Cancer survivors are those individuals with cancer of any type, current or past, who are still living. The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) pioneered the definition of survivor as from the time of diagnosis and for the balance of life, a person diagnosed with  and their families.

Since joining CanCare's Board in 1996 as treasurer, Cole has served in many positions. He was chairman from 1999 to 2001 and is currently the vice president of The CanCare of Houston Foundation. In addition to these roles, he has been an at-large member for three terms and chairs the Financial Development Committee. He actively volunteers his time to serve the following additional committees: Executive, Long-range Planning, Adhoc National and Board Oversight.

Mrs. Blanche Earthman suffered with three forms of cancer - colon, breast and vertebrae Vertebrae

. After winning a three-year battle with cancer, she lived cancer-free for another 15 years. She attributed this to her strong faith in God. Mr. and Mrs. Earthman taught their children the importance of service to others and made CanCare the beneficiary of this teaching. In recognition of the Earthmans' support, CanCare annually acknowledges with The J.B. and Blanche Earthman Award an individual who has made a significant contribution of time, talent or other resources to the mission of the organization.
