Warren Langley Joins Sonic Solutions Board.

Sonic Solutions (Nasdaq:SNIC) announced today that R. Warren Langley has been appointed as a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Langley fills a board seat that was previously vacant, bringing the total number of directors to five.

Langley was recently appointed chief executive officer of the Nasdaq LIFFE Joint Venture, a new LLC to develop a single stock futures market in the U.S., created by the Nasdaq Stock Market(R), the world's leading electronic stock market, and the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE), the world's leading electronic derivatives exchange. From 1996 to 1999, Langley served as president and chief operating officer of The Pacific Stock Exchange in San Francisco. From 1987 to 1996, he was a principal and chief operating officer of Hull Trading in Chicago, a proprietary derivatives trading firm. Previously in his career, Langley worked as director of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering at United Airlines as well as in several capacities in the software, energy, and defense consulting industries after serving in the United States Air Force for fifteen years.

Langley holds degrees from the United States Air Force Academy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
