Both the magazine and the television program focus on the domestic arts. , MSLO presents the talents of five expert chefs -- John Barricelli, Sarah Carey, Allie Lewis, Margot Olshan and Lucinda Scala Quinn -- who offer viewers quick, easy and practical solutions to the challenges of everyday cooking with easy-to-make recipes along with smart tips and kitchen techniques.

"Everyday Food Volume 1: Fast, Family-Friendly Ideas" will feature five episodes from the television series that are themed around fast, family-friendly ideas with recipes such as Breakfast Burritos, Spaghetti Puttanesca, Shrimp with Garlic and Lemon and Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake. The DVD will include 24 recipes and useful extras including tips, tools and techniques.

"Everyday Food" is as a weekly half-hour series which airs on PBS. The show premiered in 2005 and held the highest ratings of any PBS cooking show at launch. In February 2006, the program earned a 1.6 household cumulative rating. The show's third season is scheduled to premiere in January 2007.

"Everyday Food Magazine" is a digest-sized publication that launched in 2003 and is published ten times per year. As of February 2006, the magazine's paid circulation is 850,000 (rate base), including 150,000 newsstand copies. The magazine was listed on ADWEEK's Hotlist A listing of the best of something. It typically refers to the most popular Web sites.
